This piece was made during the lockdown period and submitted to the Guardian Art Lockdown Project.
Made with strips of glass which are stacked on their edges and snugly fitted into a square of firebricks to keep the external shape and around a layup of kiln furniture wrapped in fibre blanket.
This piece comes with the handmade stand you see in the photos created by the very talented artisan blacksmith, Tommy Madden who is based in Ireland.
