Created using 2mm glass stringers full fused to a clear layer of glass.  Scored and cut into 2cm strips and pieces cut to two different lengths.  These pieces are then positioned and laid onto a further layer of glass to create the 'parquet' pattern before firing in the kiln a second time.
 
The final stage is to fire once more to slump into the serving dish shape.
